Indianapolis 00 Race Report

David Reutimann No. 00 Aaron’s Dream Machine Toyota, finished 36th and is 24th in points.

DAVID REUTIMANN SUMMARY: No. 00 Aaron’s Dream Machine Toyota driver David Reutimann finished 36th in Sunday’s Brickyard 400 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Reutimann started 28th and looked to be one of the quickest cars on the track despite racing in heavy traffic in the early going. Reutimann’s chances for a good finish ended on lap 49 when a cut tire sent the No. 00 hard into the Turn 3 wall. The Michael Waltrip Racing crew could not repair the damage. The No. 00 Aaron’s Dream Machine Toyota returns to action Sunday at Pocono International Raceway.

REUTIMANN NOTES:
- Reutimann started 28th and finished 24th.
- Team reported he was one of three fastest cars on track in early going.
- Cut tire sent No. 00 into the Turn 3 wall on lap 49 causing extensive right-side damage.
- Damage was too extensive to repair.

REUTIMANN QUOTE: "I’m okay, just disappointed.  I actually had a really good Aaron’s Dream Machine.  I know everybody says that, but it was really moving forward one car at a time.  I just cut a right front tire or something getting into turn three.  Probably can’t pick a worse place for that to happen.  That right front goes down, it won’t turn.  Unfortunately we hit the wall pretty hard.  You know, you don’t hit stuff soft anymore -- you’re going pretty fast.  Hats off to everybody at Michael Waltrip Racing and Toyota Racing Development -- great motor today.  We qualified bad but we were kind of moving up through there, just didn’t get a chance to go get it.”
